Staff of Hamilton Burgess Law Firm participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life

About Us

American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life

In 2001, our staff began participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, a 24-hour event in the fight against cancer. This event is extremely important to most of the staff as many family members have had to battle this terrible disease.

Through their dedicated fund-raising efforts, the staff earned the Top Fundraising Team honors in 2001, 2002 and 2003. By working with several other agencies in the area, including hospitals, clinics and ambulance services, they gained a sense of community and became aware of just how much you can accomplish by working together. Most importantly, the staff became closer to one another and a true bond was formed, both in and out of the office .

Some of the staff branched out in the fall of 2003 to include the West Virginia Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk, a one-day event in the fight against Alzheimer’s, among their volunteer projects. Again, through their fundraising efforts, the staff earned the Top Fundraising Team honor.
